As of January 23, 2024, project was awarded to A Lamp Concrete Contractors, Inc. awarded amount is $2,412,970.66. The opinion of probable construction cost is approximately $1,800,000.00 A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Village of Justice, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The work generally consists of removal of existing curb and pavement and construction of an underground stormwater tank, curb, pavement, and waterman as detailed in the plans and specifications titled Marion Drive Pavement and Watermain Improvements. The Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130): Requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the current "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus amount for fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. The Village of Justice reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Village of Justice for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
