This bid document is published in order to obtain competitive prices for: Tree Services. The awardee shall be required to furnish all equipment, labor and ancillary materials necessary to successfully and safely perform the specified services. Tree services shall be required along roads and/or any designated site located within Steuben County. Steuben County shall utilize a mutually agreed upon marking system to designate work to be performed. Work site hours 7am-3:30pm for 8 hours( 1/2 hour designated for employee lunches). There may be utilities in the immediate area of designated tree or trees. Per day work will be centralized around a County highway shop for the day (we will keep the work close together to limit travel for the contractor each day) Steuben County will provide traffic control for all locations. Steuben County will provide clean-up of all wood and debris from the falling of selected trees. Contractor will be responsible for only the cutting of selected trees to ground level. All questions must be submitted in writing to AMorse@SteubenCountyNY.gov by November 9, 2023. Each bidder shall examine all bid documents and judge all matters relating to the adequacy and accuracy of such documents. Any inquiries, suggestions or requests concerning interpretation, clarification or additional information pertaining to this bid solicitation shall be in writing and submitted to the Purchasing Department prior to the scheduled bid opening. The County shall not be responsible for oral interpretations given by any county employee, representative or others. The issuance of written addendum/addenda is the only official method whereby interpretation, clarification or additional information can be given. It shall be understood and agreed by all interested parties that, unless amended (specifications modified and/or waived) by Steuben County, and only to the extent amended by the County, any and all information contained in this bid document is to be considered an essential component of the bid document and subsequent contract(s) AND that the bid document as published or amended represents the requirements acceptable to Steuben County. However, any and all requirements specified herein notwithstanding, it shall be understood and agreed by all interested parties that the following shall apply: Steuben County reserves as its right, the right to amend (modify and/or waive) specifications where such amendment; Primary award will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidders) based on hourly wage rate who meet(s) with all terms of the specifications. The County guarantees no minimum purchase of services as a result of any award of a contract from this bid. Secondary award will be awarded to the next best proposed price by a responsible bidder(s) based on hourly wage rate who meet(s) with all terms of the specifications. In the event that the Primary awarded vendor cannot complete the repairs within Steuben County's timeframe (usually by close of business on the day service call is placed) Any contracts awarded will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder(s) based on hourly wage rate who meet(s) with all terms of the specifications. The County guarantees no minimum or maximum purchase of services as a result of any award of a contract from this bid. Contract Term: (R042208) From: Date of Award through December 31, 2024. Note: General Terms and Conditions section; Term Contract(s) clause shall prevail.
