Renovation of a municipal facility in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Ref. #: 6520 Question Deadline 12/14/2023 at 11:00 AM ET Questions Through Online Portal We seek to have Armorcore Bullet Resistant Fiberglass Panels installed at 23 of the 29 District Courts in the Judicial Bench of each Magisterial District Court courtroom (see attachment A for locations). The County has already procured the material and it is in storage in Norristown at the present time. Montgomery County operates 29 District Courts, also known as Magisterial District Court Facilities, which are housed in 22 locations throughout Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. We seek to have Armorcore Bullet Resistant Fiberglass Panels installed at 23 of the 29 District Courts in the Judicial Bench of each Magisterial District Court courtroom (see attached sheet with locations). The County has already procured the material and it is in storage in Norristown at the present time. Attached are the specific locations of each installation. There are also Manufacturer's Installation Instructions and an Information Sheet. Each panel measurers 3 foot by 5 foot and they will be installed under the counter of each courtroom bench hanging vertically. It is estimated that each install will be +/- 3 panels. Benches will not be dismantled as the panel will be hung as tight to the face wall as possible (in most cases this wall is drywall) on the judicial side of the bench. There are electric receptacles, data ports, and possibly additional protrusions that will have to be cut out of the panel, and it is expected that the panel will be cut neat and tight and the cover replaced upon completion of the installation. Work may occur during normal business hours and the successful bidder will work with the Facilities Manager - Special Courts, or a County Project Manager, on developing a schedule that works around the hearing schedules of each respective court. It is the expectation that the successful contractor will be capable of performing a minimum of 2 installs per day unless there are geographical limitations or proximity issues that do not make it viable. The successful bidder will be responsible for all of the following: 1. Pick-up of Material in Norristown and transportation to the appropriate site, frequency as necessary 2. Minimal furniture moving, in most cases a chair, the County will make every attempt to have everything else moved prior to starting the work. 3. Cutting and fastening equipment 4. Screws, glue or adhesives or other fasteners preferred by the contractor. 5. Cleaning the work area and any other areas used to fabricate, cut or store the material, it is expected the area will at least be vacuumed and all flat surfaces wiped without disruption to anything on the desk. 6. All workers using 100% Personal Protective Equipment including but not limited to: boots, long pants, shirt with sleeves, high visibility vest or shirt, safety glasses, hard hat, mask or respirator as required when working with the panels. 7. All employees that are on the facility grounds whether inside or outside must pass a PA State Police Background Check. The County will furnish a website and .pdf form that each employee must sign and submit not less than 10 days before they plan to be on site, there are no exceptions to this. Basically anyone that enters the site must have submitted and passed a background verification even if it is the Company owner, field supervisor, project manager, truck driver. Failure to abide may result is some legal complications for the individual as well as the company.
