The City of Knoxville is seeking a qualified, responsible and appropriately licensed firm to remove and
replace one faulty chiller pump, and replace existing McQuay Chiller thrust bearings and seals at the
Knoxville Convention Center. Each numbered item in the Specifications is to be priced separately on the
included bid form.
Specifications:
1. Chiller Pump
Remove existing faulty chiller pump
Install new pump: eHSC-10x12x14.5 - Bell & Gossett eHSC-Model 150, Horizontal Pump, Base,
Coupler & Motor, Model 10x12x14.5, 175 psi WP, 200 HP, 1800 RPM, 60 Hz, 445T Frame, Nema
Premium Efficient, 12.125 inch Impeller, MR2: Metric Rubber Bellow[1]Carbon/SiC/EPDM Seal,
No Wear Ring, No Casing Wear Ring, BG Choice, ODP, 460V Motor, 4000 gpm, 120 ft, Standard
Hydro test, NO Performance Test (1800 RPM @ Duty Point)
Verify operation
Clean work area after work is complete
2. Thrust Bearings and Seals
Remove the existing thrust bearings and all gaskets/parts tied in with removal
Install new thrust bearings and gaskets
Pull a vacuum, charge the system and verify the operation of the chiller
Clean work area after work is complete
