The City of North Richland Hills may retain all SOQs submitted and use ideas in any submitted SOQ regardless of whether the firm who submitted such SOQ is selected. Submission of an SOQ indicates acceptance by the firm of the conditions contained in this RFQ, unless clearly and specifically noted in their submitted SOQ and confirmed in the contract between the City of North Richland Hills and the firm selected. The City of North Richland Hills reserves the sole right to review the SOQ submitted, waive any irregularities therein, and select or reject any and/or all firms that submitted SOQs, should it be determined to be in the best interest of the City of North Richland Hills. The scope of work for this RFQ will include planning for the redevelopment of the existing Kiddie Area at NRH2O. The scope of services for this project is as follows: A partial list of tasks is shown below:
o Conduct a thorough site inventory and analysis of existing topography, utilities, pathways, and adjacent park amenities. o In collaboration with NRH2O and City Staff, develop a new Kiddie Area concept plan that incorporates new waterslides, spray features, and other play elements. o Develop perspective and graphic renderings of the proposed concept for presentations to city staff, city council, and other stakeholder groups. o Develop detailed construction documents for demolition of the existing Kiddie Area. o Develop detailed construction documents for the redesigned Kiddie Area. o Develop detailed construction documents for all other necessary appurtenances such as surge tanks, pumps, and filtration devices. It is the City's intent that the successful firm will be involved for the duration of the design development, preparation of construction and bidding documents, and construction management phases of the project.
