Interested consultant firms should submit the proposals consisting of the minimum number of typewritten pages sufficient to provide necessary information. The project location lies in the Parkwood Terrace Subdivision developed in the 1960's. The infrastructure design standard of the period has served beyond its expected service life and capacity when compared to today's demand and expectations. Since 1990 the City of Lake Jackson's Capital Project Bond Program has become the mechanism by which the older developments have been rehabilitated or reconstructed to the current infrastructure standard of the city and statutory regulations. The latest 2020 Bond Program, assessed the various areas of the city through a volunteer citizen commission that performed individual evaluation of condition by inspection, rating and prioritization of those projects to be funded through the program's proposed bond limitations. This particular project was selected along others to proceed into the design phase and construction. The proposed underground storm pipe and inlet system improvements have been preliminarily analyzed and designed as part of a larger watershed outfall system identified in the City of Lake Jackson's Eastside Drainage Study. To implement the recommendations from the study, the city would like the firm to consider these preliminary concepts and design to achieve equal or better hydraulic results. The recommended proposed outfall improvements will be phased in at a later date.
