City of Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Department is looking for bid on Hazel Park Recreation Center Play Area Improvements project. An amount equal to five percent (5%) of each estimate will be retained by the City until, in the opinion of the Project Manager and the Owner. Question Deadline 11/14/2023 at 2:00 PM CT All questions to be made via supplier portal at electronically Oral questions related to the project outside the Pre-Bid Conference are prohibited and may be grounds for rejection of the bid. City personnel, elected officials, and agents, including but not limited to partners or consultants are not authorized to discuss this Project or Request for Bids with interested bidders outside of the Pre-Bid Conference. All Bidders will have access to all questions and answers submitted in writing which will be public information and released in an addendum on electronically. On projects over $175,000 the Contractor must furnish both a performance and a payment bond, the Sureties of which must be acceptable to the City, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. These bonds must indemnify the City for loss sustained by the City due to acts of the Contractor, its agents or employees. Each bond must include the names and address of the Contractor and the Surety. The City will be the sole judge of the contractors' and subcontractors' capabilities in this regard. The City reserves the right to accept/reject any or all bids or portions thereof, and further, reserves the right to accept/reject any or all subcontractors if they are determined non-responsible.
