The contractor will provide the required tug during winter months and conduct prop-washing at the requested time and dates. o The Port will determine when and where prop-washing is required and coordinate with the contractor to schedule. Timeframes for beginning work will differ and will depend on Ship arrivals and departures. o The Contractor shall start prop-wash sediment removal operations one hour before low tide and continue until one hour after low water for optimum coverage. o The tugboat used for prop-wash sediment operations shall have a minimum of 3,500 horsepower. o The contractors shall attach the line from the tug to the bollards on the dock prior to starting the prop-wash dredging. o The contractor shall supply wooden softeners to protect lines where the lines cross the dock. o Port of Alaska Contact: Port Operations Superintendent: 907-343-6202; Alternate Contact: Main Line: 907-343-6200 Faxed or emailed bids will NOT be accepted unless noted otherwise in the bid documents. Bids not in compliance with the above requirements may be declared non-responsive and held unopened by the Purchasing Department. The MOA reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids.
