Demolition and renovation of a municipal facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for the demolition of a municipal facility.
All work under this Contract will be performed at the Borough of Rankin Municipal Building located at 325 Hawkins Avenue within the Borough of Rankin, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The Borough is located in east-central Allegheny County along the north bank of the Monongahela River approximately ten miles east of the downtown area of the City of Pittsburgh. Note that there is not less than $175,000 in available funding for this project. The Owner reserves the right to add or delete and quantities from any Bid Item during construction. The Contractor will be paid on the basis of the Unit Prices and Lump Sum Bids as submitted and based upon the actual quantities furnished and installed. The Owner referred to in these Contract Documents shall be the Borough of Rankin. The Engineer shall be defined as Glenn Engineering & Associates, Ltd. The liquidated damages shall be Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($350.00) per consecutive calendar days as a measure of liquidated damages the Owner will sustain for failure of the Contractor to promptly complete the work. In addition to any other Warranties or Guarantees specified elsewhere in these Contract Documents, the Contractor shall after all Contract Work is completed, approved and accepted, the Contractor present and eighteen (18) month Maintenance Bond in the name of the Borough of Rankin in an equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the final contract payment price. If the Bidder has completed this form in its entirety for a similar project or has performed a similar contract through the Owner and Glenn Engineering & Associates, Ltd. within the past twelve (12) months, he need not complete the forms herein included. The Owner and Engineer, however, reserve the right to require any bidder to submit the aforesaid forms should the Contractor deems it necessary for any reason The work underthis project includes the furnishing ofall labor, materials, and equipment required for the performance of all rehabilitation as indicated in the Contract Documents. The work essentially includes, but is not limited to, the following: A. The demolition, removal and disposal of all items to be replaced B. The complete rehabilitation of all identified areas, including, but not limited to Exterior Areas, Building Front Entrance and Lobby Atrium, Municipal Council Chambers, Interior Entrance Lobby, Various Office Areas, other identified and any other identified areas. C. The reconstruction of Existing Restrooms into ADA Fully Compliant Handicap Accessible Restroom Facilities and the rehabilitation ofthe Existing Private Restroom. D. The Rehabilitation ofExisting Wallsto include removal ofexisting wall coverings and treatments, Placement ofPlaster Skim Coat, one (1) coat ofLatex Primer and two (2) coats ofSemi-Gloss Latex Finish Coat Paint. E. The replacement ofthe existing floor covering with new laminate system, including surface preparation and levelling ofthe existing floor. F. The replacement of Existing Windows complete in place including replacement of any damaged or deteriorated lintels or other related components. G. The replacement ofthe existing ceiling lighting system, including the furnishing and installation ofnew LED Lighting Fixtures, LED Lighting, and all related and required appurtenances. H. The replacement of all Electrical Outlets, Switches and Switch Plates and Outlet Covers. I. Any and all modifications as may be necessary to provide for Compliant Lighted Exit Signage. J. The replacement ofAccess Doors, Frames and Hardware and other Interior Doors and Frames as specified within the Entrance and Atrium, including, but not limited to Doors and Wall Enclosures, Electronic Key Pad Locking System with Remote Access, Security Camera, and Two Way Speaker System, Interior Lighting and all other related and required appurtenances. K. The rehabilitation ofthe Front Yard and adjacent areas including, but not limited to the Yard Areas, Concrete Sidewalks/Curbs, Front Porch Area and other related facilities. L. The furnishing and installation of a new LED Municipal Building Lettering Sign, complete in place and including all required components. M. The construction ofa new Sign Bulletin Board, complete in place. N. Any and all necessary Site Cleanup, Restoration and Landscaping not specifically referred to herein. O. All other related and required work and appurtenance
