Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Bogota, New Jersey. Working plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
As per the Owner the project has been cancelled. This project will be rebid on a later date that has not yet been determined. Bids will be received for a Single Overall Contract, where the entire project will be executed by a single firm with undivided responsibility for performance and other requirements. BASE BID The Scope of Work for the Borough of Bogota Recreation Center site work is as follows: Construct new parking lot of approximately 30,000 S.F. in area including milling, backfill, paving and striping, dynamic compaction of 20,000 S.F. in area with roughly 4000 C.Y. of RCA backfill, new stormwater drainage and green infrastructure system including 400 L.F. of storm pipe and 120 chamber units, new pump station including 775 L.F. of force main pipe and 150 L.F. of gravity sewer, elevated generator platform, new asphalt pathways, concrete sidewalks, concrete driveways, concrete curb, lighting, demolition, soil erosion measures, landscaping including planting of roughly 90 trees and related improvement to complete the project. The Scope of Work for the Borough of Bogota Recreation Center Building is as follows: Construct a new one (1) story steel structure building at 15,734 sq. ft. of enclosed space and 5,308 sq. ft. of roofed outdoor space. Walls are a combination of masonry and metal panel systems. Enclosed space includes a gymnasium office/classrooms/interpretive center with toilet rooms, locker rooms, and a concession stand. Indoor storage is also provided in the building. Work includes foundations, structural steel columns and roof. The walls include masonry, steel skin, windows, and doors including outdoor terraces and gathering area. The entire building is sprinklered and is served by new electrical, plumbing, HVAC, generator, fire alarm, and a security system that are shown on the building plans. Time of Completion for this project is 545 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages for this project is at $2500 per calendar day. Maintenance Guarantee for the project is 100% of Project cost for 2 years from the acceptance of work. The Borough reserves the right to limit the number of sets given to any bidder. Bids must be prepared on the forms furnished with the specifications and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope. Bids must be plainly marked to indicate the name and address of the bidder and bear the word "Bid" upon the outside of the envelope. Bids may either be mailed or delivered in person. Mailed bids will be held and opened at the appropriate date and time. Bids received after the time for opening bids will be returned unopened. All bids must be accompanied by electronic version in CD/DVD/ Flash Drive Form. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all Bids for any and all causes as may be permissible in the Local Public Contracts Law. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11- 56.37 and 34:11-56.38 of the "Prevailing Wage Act," no public works contract may be awarded to any contractor and subcontractors or to any firm, corporation or partnership in which they have an interest while on the Debarred Contractors List until the expiration date given. The proposal is being solicited through a fair and open process in accordance with the N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 et seq. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq, and N.J.A.C. 17:27, which deal with Affirmative Action in relation to discrimination in connection with certain public contracts. All construction contracts equal to or greater than $1,000,000 must comply with N.J.A.C. 17:27-7.4. All bids must comply with the local Public Contract Laws, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.
