Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Milford, Delaware. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the addition of a 100,000-square-foot educational facility; and for the renovation of a 50,000-square-foot educational facility.

Project involves the selective demolition of the existing Milford Middle school areas; along with the renovation of approx. 50,000s.f and the addition of approx. 100,000s.f. with associated site improvements. This is a construction management project. Bids are to be for the following contract: A-1: Demolition - Bid under Separate Contract B-12: Acoustical Work B-2: Site Work B-13: Floor Covering Work B-3: Selective Demolition B-14: Caulking/Painting B-4: Concrete Work B-15: Casework B-5: Masonry Work B-16: Kitchen Equipment B-6: Steel Work B-17: Mechanical B-7: Carpentry & General Work B-18: Sprinkler System B-8: Roofing Work B-19: Electrical B-9: Furnish Hollow Metal/Doors/Hardware B-20: Wall Panels B-10: Aluminum Storefront/Windows/Glass & Glazing B-11: Drywall/Metal Stud Attention is called to construction schedule as detailed in the Bid Documents. A bid security in the amount of 10% of the bid must accompany each bid. Bid Security shall specify the Owner as the obligee. Owner: Milford School District, 906 Lakeview Avenue Milford Delaware 19963. Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids on this contract and will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin or sex in consideration of this award. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract. It is the responsibility of each bidder to review and coordinate all project documents. This includes plans, specifications and addendums. All documents will be available on the day of the pre-bid meeting. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. The Owner may extend the time and place for the opening of the bids from that described in the advertisement, with not less than two calendar days notice by certified delivery, facsimile machine or other electronic means to those bidders receiving plans. The estimated value listed is that of the total project value. Construction is expected to start January 2024.
