As of April 10, 2025, an engineer has been selected and this project is in design phase. Design is planned for 60 months from award date of 12/12/2024. Construction likely to start in 2027 or further out. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to solicit Qualifications from Respondents, who are licensed to preform engineering service in the State of Florida, in accordance with Florida Statutes 287.055 in order to design the CR 2209 and CR 210 Intersection Improvement project in St. Johns County. The intent of the County is to select the most qualified Respondent, based upon evaluation of submitted Qualifications and presentations/interviews with shortlisted Respondents, for the purposes of negotiating and awarding a contract for completion of the Services. Presentation of Award Recommendation to SJC BOCC Febuary 2024 The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Qualifications, waive minor formalities and irregularities, and to award to the Respondent that serves the best interest of the County. Any and all questions and/or inquiries related to this RFQ shall be directed, in writing, to the Designated Point of Contact as provided above, by or before four o'clock (4:00PM) EST on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Any questions received after this deadline will not be addressed or clarified by the County, unless it is determined to be in the best interest of the County to do so. The County reserves the right to extend the Submittal Deadline for Qualifications in order to clarify or answer questions as necessary to serve the best interest of the County.
