Kent County will award and contract for the goods and services in this Solicitation in an efficient and timely manner. A project sign is to be installed in a prominent and accessible location at the project work site to inform the public of project activity and to post required notices outlined in the Federal Labor Standards. The project sign is to be maintained in good condition throughout the entire construction period. Format and size requirements are to be provided by the County. Each offer over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for 5% of the total amount of the offer. Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100% of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract. The Kent County Purchasing Division, on behalf of City of Walker, is soliciting bids for the construction of 4 Mile Road Sidewalk Gap from Cordes Ave to Old Orchard Drive. This award will be funded in part by Kent County's Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG"). Work to begin no earlier than 10 days after Award or as directed by Engineer with substantial completion and open to vehicle and pedestrian traffic by April 15, 2024 with final completion no later than May 17, 2024 Kent County reserves the right to determine the response format or not respond, at its sole discretion.
