Site work, remodeling and renovation of a municipal facility in Chinle, Arizona. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.

Project Description DESCRIPTION OF WORK AND SERVICES: The contractor shall review and analyze this scope and associated drawings for coordination of materials, and the necessary labor and equipment in order to provide a bid for the activities described. The following are important informational items that should be considered in the bid. 1. Mobilize equipment required to rehabilitate the berm per the plans and specifications (P&S), as provided for in the bid schedule. Dust control shall be incorporated into the cost of other line items. SWPPP cost will be incorporated into the Mobilization CLIN. 2. Provide labor, equipment and materials required to reconstruct the berm as specified in the P&S. 3. Provide labor, equipment, and riprap material to armor the water side of the berm as shown in the P&S. The stone will be paid by the ton unit price and shall include all costs to procure, haul, store and place the stone on the berm. 4. Provide local survey to record the constructed features as best as possible with respect to control point, including features such as top of berm, berm alignment, and riprap footprint. 5. Meetings and Communication. The contractor shall account for and plan to hold a morning safety meeting, including with representatives of USACE, prior to the commencement of every workday. The morning safety meeting shall be accounted for in the cost of berm reconstruction. In addition, the contractor should plan on holding a general weekly progress meeting to discuss accomplishment, workload, and schedule. The contractor shall be responsible for creating a forward-looking schedule for discussion purposes during regularly scheduled meetings. 6. Submittals. The contractor shall include with their overall price proposal the cost of providing all construction submittals. The cost of submittals shall be accounted for in the cost of berm reconstruction. 7. Safety and Security: Reference EM 385-1-1, contractor quality control shall conduct and document daily safety inspections. 8. Demobilize site and equipment as provided for in the bid schedule. But not limited to please review the specifications for more information. Magnitude of Construction: $1M - $5M
