Asphaltic concrete pavement preservation improvements for City-owned roads and other public surfacing assets that will extend the life of each asset. General Contractors duly licensed pursuant to Louisianas Contractors Licensing Laws for the Major Classification of Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction are requested by the City of Central for the following Project. Bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to 5 percent of the base bid and all additive alternates in the form of either a certified check or a bid bond. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. All questions regarding this project and the bid package shall be submitted to the Pavement Management Program Manager via april@greyeng.com by 4:00 PM on November 17, 2023. Any changes or clarifications will be issued in the form of an addendum as set forth below. Any deposit or portion of the deposit is returnable as provided by Louisiana State Public Bid Law. Per La. R.S. 2212(D), only bidders who are properly licensed will be provided a set of the Bid Documents. The City of Central reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. A. The intent of this Program is to obtain a one-year City-wide contract for asphaltic concrete pavement preservation improvements for City roads, drives, and other public surfacing assets; with the option, by mutual consent, to extend or renew the term for one (1) additional year up to 3 years. B. This project provides for the implementation of pavement preservation measures for asphaltic concrete roads. Preventative maintenance as part of this contract includes the sealing of random cracks and joints in asphaltic concrete roads. The project also includes the application of Texture Bituminous Surface Treatment, Asphalt Rejuvenator surface Treatment, and High Polymer fog seal on asphaltic concrete roads, where directed by the Owner. C. All work under this contract may be applied to any of the roads listed in EXHIBIT A and should be completed in 2 months, weather permitting.
