Site work for a water / sewer project in Plymouth, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Directional Boring and Sleeve Pipe Installation. The Contractor shall perform Directional Boring and Sleeve Pipe Installation and will be compensated in accordance with the service rates on Exhibit B-1, Public Works Rate Sheet. The Contractor shall include all labor, equipment, parts, devices, materials, tools, installation, supervision, inspection, training, licenses, permits, insurance, bonds, transportation, travel and per diem and any other costs necessary to perform services for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Inmate/Ward Labor (IWL), located at Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP), 4001 Highway 104, Ione, CA 95640. If progress payments are indicated in the Agreement documents, a faithful performance bond in the sum of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount payable under the Agreement is required. Payments will not exceed ninety percent (90%) of the Agreement amount. Any funds so withheld may be paid upon completion of the project. If progress payments are provided for in the bid and the Contract amount exceeds $10,000, The Contractor shall possess a valid "A" General Engineering Contractor's License issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) or a C-34 California Pipeline Contractor's specialty license issued by CSLB A licensed contractor shall not submit a bid to a public agency unless his/her contractor's license number and class appear clearly on the bid, the license expiration date is stated, and he/she has signed a certification statement that the representations made in the bid with regard to the license number, class and expiration date are made under penalty of perjury. Any bid not containing this information or a bid containing information that is subsequently proven false shall be considered non responsive and shall be rejected. Pursuant to Exhibit D, Prosecution of the Work, liquidated damages are hereby set at $500 per day for each day the Contractor fails to complete work past the specified service term of the Agreement. Question Deadline 12/05/2023 at 3:00 PM PT Nothing in this Agreement shall act as a waiver of any rights the State has or may have in the future to recover any economic or property damages caused by the Contractor's work, or failure to perform required work, whether the damages occurred before or after the completion of the Contractor's work. If the Agreement provides for liquidated damages, Contractor acknowledges the Department will suffer damage by any delay in the completion of the Work of the Project and that the exact and actual amount of such damages are difficult to estimate or predict in advance. Therefore, Contractor agrees that if Contractor fails to complete the Work of the Project within the Contract Time as specified or as adjusted by Change Order, Contractor authorizes Department to deduct Liquidated Damages, as outlined in Exhibit A, chargeable to the Contractor from any funds due or that become due to Contractor.
