As of March 27, 2024, a construction manager has been selected. The HVAC system at this school currently has 36 air handler units in which the heating is achieved by heating coils inside the AHUs fed from a boiler plant. The Scope of Work for the project includes the replacement of most air handler units on the campus. All relief fans and other components in the building automation systems will require replacement to accommodate the new system. Sequence of operation for heating and dehumidification will need to be implemented. Replace chiller and pump for Gym; add redundant pump. The School Board has the sole discretion and reserves the right to cancel this RFQ, to reject any and all submittals, to waive any and all informalities and/or irregularities, or to re-advertise with either the identical or revised specifications, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the School District to do so. The School Board reserves the right to award the Contract to the next most qualified Firm if the successful Firm does not begin the contracted services within the prescribed fifteen (15) days or if an acceptable fee can not be negotiated. The Purchasing Director shall schedule a meeting to provide an opportunity to resolve the protest by mutual agreement between the parties within seven (7) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and state holidays, after receipt of a formal written protest and bond. Within ten (10) business days after the executed GMP Amendment, Notice to Proceed and Purchase Order has been issued to the Construction Manager, the Construction Manager shall provide Owner's Project Representative with an electronic copy of the Payment and Performance Bonds, after recordation in the Public Records of Osceola County, in the amount of 100% of the total sum of the GMP, the costs of which are to be paid by Construction Manager. Construction Manager shall not commence construction of the Work on the Project prior to delivery of the recorded bonds to Owner's Project Representative. Question Deadline 02/05/2024 at 12:00 PM ET.
