Description of Work: The Work includes, but is not limited to: Scope of work description. Demolish existing chiller, chilled water pumps, and appurtenances and provide new air-to-water heat pump, chilled water pumps, and appurtenances. Demolish existing fans and provide new fans. Demolish of existing fan coils and terminal units and provide new fan coils and terminal units. Refurbish existing air handling units, including but not limited to, replacing fans, motors, coils, and appurtenances. Test, adjust, and balance all heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment. Commissioning all heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment. Alternate 1: Provide new 100kW photovoltaic generating system at Benson Hill Elementary School. Alternate 2: Demolish existing chiller, chilled water pumps, and appurtenances and provide new air-to-water heat pump, chilled water pumps, and appurtenances at Maplewood Heights Elementary School. Bid Documents Return: Deposits will be returned to Bidders upon return of the Bid Documents to ARC in good condition within 10 days following Bid Opening. Bid Bond: This Project is estimated to cost $250,000.00 or more and must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check, or bid bond, equal to 5% of the total Base Bid only, excluding taxes. Make checks payable to the Renton School District; furnish bond executed by a licensed bonding agency authorized to do business in the locality of the project. Labor & Industries, Apprenticeship Section, to obtain information on available apprenticeship programs. Right to Reject: The Owner reserves the right to accept the lowest or any other Bid, the right to reject any or all Bids, and the right to waive any irregularities in any Bid. Withdraw of Bid: No Bid may be withdrawn, except with the express permission of the Owner, after the time set for the opening thereof, unless the award of Contract is delayed for a period exceeding 45 days. Architect/Engineer's Cost Opinion: $3,306,081.00
