The Town of Riverdale Park (hereinafter called the "Town") is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) to engage a Contractor, licensed to business in the State of Maryland, to demolish two single-family structures with a full and partial basement, respectively, remove several trees, remove demolition and tree debris and grade the site according to local code. Last Day for Questions November 15 (5:00 PM) Demolish the principal structures and all accessory structures located on the properties. The demolition shall include all foundations, basements, footings, walls, concrete pads, railroad ties and yard decorations. b. Remove trees identified at the site visit, and the oil tank at 5002 Queensbury. c. Remove all debris existing prior to and resulting from said demolition and proper disposal of such debris. d. Level the site with four (4) inches of clean top soil and stabilizing the top soil. It shall be the responsibility of Contractor to comply with County requirements including providing any necessary fill dirt for leveling of the property and any such fill dirt shall be free of debris and contaminants. e. Keep the premises in a safe condition and prevent any materials, structure, or excavation from becoming an attractive nuisance throughout the duration of the demolition. This period begins once Contractor enters the property to begin demolition and does not end until the Town has been notified that the project has been completed and all required inspections have been completed. f. Take all reasonable or necessary steps to prevent damage to the right-of-way, or the property of others, including but not limited to, protection of lateral and subjacent support. g. Take all reasonable precautions to preserve all trees not slated for removal, if any. h. Notify the Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement as may be required that the work is completed and arrange for an inspection of the property. i. Provide water as needed to properly control dust levels and shall also provide equipment remove and sweep mud and dirt to the site clean. j. Provide protection of electrical facilities to neighboring structures. Haul all materials to an approved dump site. k. Except where otherwise noted, immediately remove demolished materials from site. In no case shall dismantled materials remain on site for more than one (1) week. All removal must be done in compliance with Town, County and State, and any other applicable laws.
