MnDOT requests letters of interest for Responders to prepare a statewide Minnesota Zero Emissions Vehicle Infrastructure Plan (MnZEVIP). MnDOT is preparing for the shift from internal combustion engine transportation to zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) and electric vehicle (EV) transportation options in order to meet statewide carbon reduction and electric and zero-emission vehicle targets. To do this, the MnZEVIP will identify priority areas for ZEV fueling and EV charging infrastructure, also known as Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) throughout Minnesota. Gaps in ZEV fueling and EV charging infrastructure will be identified and prioritized into corridors for improvements and implementation for light-duty vehicles. The goal is to provide guidance to MnDOT, transportation and industry partners, as well as state agency partners on where, when and how to prioritize ZEV fueling and EV charging in Minnesota. By having a guiding document in place, a consistent and strategic approach to installing ZEV fueling and EVSE will provide a better customer service experience to people traveling throughout Minnesota.
