Project includes the replacement of the original chiller installed on the roof of the Sanford School of Medicine building in Sioux Falls. The new replacement chiller will be of similar footprint, tonnage, and turndown as the second chiller installed in 2012 and operate together in a lead/lag setup. The new chiller will possess a heat recovery condenser module utilized for preheat of the existing heating water system. New piping will be routed on the roof over to the penthouse where tie-ins to the existing chilled water and heat recovery system will be made. The chilled water system volume will be increased via buffer tanks to improve the system s reliability while operating both chillers. An alternate bid to add Variable Frequency Drive's to the chiller pumps is also included. Project scope also includes all related electrical modifications required for new equipment detailed within plans. Project schedule is planned for start in Fall of 2024 due to chiller lead times. Bid Bond. In lieu of a certified check as a bid guarantee, a bid bond of ten percent (10%) of the total amount If the Contract is for more than $100,000.00, provide a performance and labor and material payment bond produced by a South Dakota licensed insurance producer (agent) and issued by a South Dakota licensed surety in an amount not less than the amount of the awarded contract. The performance and labor and material payment bond Surety or Sureties shall meet all requirements of South Dakota Law. The State reserves the right to reject all bids if in the judgment of the State Engineer it is in the best interest of the State.. Final Completion Date: December 19, 2024
