This project involves the following elements. Bids shall provide design, labor, equipment, materials and incidentals needed to perform the following work: Construct 5-ft wide sidewalk, 4-inches thick for 5,448 feet connecting to existing sidewalks at the High School Football Stadium and at the City Reservoir (north of Falcon Road). A total of 2,341 square yards of concrete. Sidewalk to have ADA compliant wheelchair ramps with tactile warning devices as shown. Remove existing pavement as shown to construct ADA compliant path across 9 two-lane streets. Construct concrete approaches to 9 alleys from road to edge of Right-of-Way to included ADA compliant path across new approaches. Remove and replace concrete for 7 driveways to include ADA compliant path across each driveway. Install 18-ft long by 5-ft wide steel pedestrian bridge provided by owner. Erosion and pollution controls as needed to comply with OPDES OKR10. The City reserves the right to award this bid in whole or in part as deemed in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to study all bids for thirty (30) days prior to bid award. Bid Bond - a bond to protect the City against failure to execute a contract after the project has been awarded through a competitive bid process. The bid bond must be in the amount of 5% of the bid price and must be submitted with each bid. Performance Bond - a bond to protect the City against failure to complete the project. This bond shall be for the total bid amount and shall be in force until the project is accepted by the City. Statutory Bond - a bond to protect the City against Contractors failure to pay suppliers, vendors, or subcontractors. Maintenance Bond - a bond to protect the City from faulty work. This bond shall be for the total bid price and shall be in force until 24 months after the date of acceptance.
