The City of Estevan is seeking proposals for the design, supply, and installation of a composites play structure located in Churchill Park. The project aims to create a traditional park design suitable for ages 18 months to 12 years, with a specific emphasis on structures catering to children aged 18 months to 5 years of age. Additionally, the design must incorporate ample shade on the composite play structure and surrounding areas and ensure accessibility for all individuals 1. Playpark Structure Design The selected vendor will be responsible for designing a playpark area that encompasses the following features: An area of seating/shade separating two play structures - one suitable for 18 months to 5 years and one suitable for 5 to 12 years. Inclusion of swings, slides, climbing elements, and other age-appropriate play equipment. Integration of sensory play elements to stimulate cognitive development in young children. Incorporation of interactive and imaginative play elements to engage children's creativity. Provision of seating and picnic areas for families. 2. Protective Surfacing Pour in place rubber is required for the protective surfacing. Color should not be black but a color that reflects the light. 3. Shade and Seating The design must prioritize shade provisions for families visiting the playpark. This may include: Installation of shade structures such as pergolas, canopies, or natural shading elements like trees. Inclusion of seating options near play areas for parents and caregivers.
