Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Fort Worth, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

TRWD is hereby inviting qualified consultants (Respondents) to submit Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) to design the RC1 and CC1 Electrical Building and Equipment Additions Project (Project). The Project Objectives are described in general terms below with a few items highlighted in which TRWD expects to see qualifying experience. Include other relevant information to be considered when reviewing the proposed Team's experience. Refer to Section 2 for more information on the background, Section 4 for the schedule, and Section 6 for the proposed scope of work. Questions are to be submitted using the Question and Answer process on the Procurement Website. Response to questions posted on the Procurement Website will be posted on the website by the District for the benefit of all bidders. A response will be given for questions submitted by end of day November 21, 2023. The Project Objectives are as follows: Move the electrical equipment out of the humid pump station and into its own climate-controlled building. The building shall be of adequate size to allow for safe working conditions and minimize the risk of arc flash. Update switchgear and other selected electrical equipment, so it has a new "useful life" and the latest safety devices included. With the addition of VFDs at RC1, demo the existing capacitor banks and associated switching equipment no longer required for power factor correction. Replace soft starters with VFDs to optimize system operations. VFDs will also allow time of day pumping to capitalize on real-time energy prices while still meeting water supply demands. To the extent feasible, master plan the building design so that it is compatible with other planned improvements at both RC1 and CC1. Design for compatibility with the existing motors and electrical substations. Evaluate and replace two substation transformers at CC1 and any related bus modifications. Provide for reliable cooling of the new electrical buildings. TRWD reserves the right to evaluate the SOQ submitted; to waive any irregularities therein; or to reject any and all SOQ should it be deemed in TRWD's best interest to do so.
