This Project Includes 500 Lead and/or Galvanized Water Service Lines to Be Replaced. the Work Will Be Located Within the City of Newark as Detailed on the Included Address Lists. The City Will Provide the Contractor With Approximately 200 Signed Work Agreements, the Contractor Will Be Responsible for Obtaining Approximately 280 Signed Work Agreements From Property Owners Designated by the City. Question Deadline 11/16/2023 at 12:00 PM ET The Contractor Shall Furnish All Labor, Materials, Tools, Equipment, Services, and Related Accessories for a Complete Project, as Shown and Described in the Plans and Specifications. The Price for Items of Work or Materials Shown on the Plans or Provided for in the Specifications or Special Provisions, for Which No Specific Method of Payment is Provided, Shall Be Performed by the Contractor and the Costs Included Among the Various Bid Items. Submission of a Bid Shall Be Considered Evidence That the Bidder is Satisfied With the Plans and Conditions, as Shown. No Additional Compensation Will Be Paid to the Contractor for Compliance With the Plans, Specifications, or Special Provisions. In Addition to the Direct Requirements of the Contract Specifications, the Contractor Shall Observe and Conform to the Specific Requirements of All Right-of-way, Including Easements, Court Entries, Rights of Entry, or Action Filed in Court in Accordance With the Code of the Applicable Governing Agency. The Cost of the Operations Necessary to Fulfill Such Requirements Shall Be Included in the Price Bid for the Various Items of the Contract Unless a Specific Provision is Made in the Contract Specifications for Such Cost Under Specific Items of the Contract. The total estimated construction cost for the base bid Work for the Project for which bids are being solicited at this time is $2,750,875.00, including the contigency allowance of $150,000.00.
