Renovation of a water / sewer project in Wyoming, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
All bids/proposals must include the fully signed Bid/Proposal Form and all other required information submitted in a sealed envelope and plainly labeled: "Bid/Proposal for Clean Water Plant Overhead Door Replacement." Proponents are solely responsible for ensuring delivery by the required date and time. Any bid/proposal, even if in route by U.S. Mail or by courier service or if held by the U.S. Postal Service or a courier for pick-up by City staff, that is received in the Clerk's Office after the required date and time, will not be opened and will be returned to the bidder/proponent. Bids/proposals will not be accepted by e-mail or other electronic delivery. Questions about or requests for interpretation of this request for bids/proposals, any of the plans and specifications, or any bid/proposal requirements may be directed via e-mail to Dan.Kleinheksel@wyomingmi.gov. No questions or interpretations will be issued later than 4 days before the due date for bids. Questions will not be answered by phone or in other oral communication. City will endeavor, but is not required to, email a copy of any addenda, answers to questions or interpretations that may be of general interest to potential bidders/proponents who have provided a valid email address and requested notification of this specific bid/proposal via City's e-Bidder system. Addenda will also be available on City's website and at City's Purchasing Department, 1155 28 th Street SW, Wyoming, MI 49509. It is the bidder's/proponent's responsibility to make inquiry as to changes or addenda issued. All changes and addenda will become part of the specifications and all bidders/proponents will be bound by issued changes and addenda. All Bids/proposals Shall Remain Valid for at Least 90 Days After Submission. Note: 90 Days is the Hold Time For Pricing and Availibility on a Bid Project. If the Bid is for Equipment, Parts, Components, Supplies, or Services to Be Provided on an As-needed, or When-ordered Basis, Bid Pricing Must Remain in Effect for the Entire Contract Term. If It is an Annual Contract, Pricing Must Be Good for 1 Year After the Date the Contract is Approved and Signed By City. If the Contract Term is Longer Than 1 Year, the Pricing Must Be Good for the Entire Contract Term. If Annual or More Frequent Price Adjustments Are Proposed, They Must Be Included in the Bid/proposal. Any Bidder May Withdraw Its Bid at Any Time Prior to the Scheduled Time for the Bid Opening. A Written Request to Withdraw Shall Be Delivered to City's Purchasing Department Prior to Award. Question Deadline 11/10/2023 A. Remove and dispose of two existing overhead doors, operators, and door tracks. B. Install new two 14'0 X 14'0 overhead doors with new track. o Doors shall be insulated rolling type. o Vinyl guide seal on both sides. o Double angle bottom bar. o Minimum 24-gauge painted steel hood. o Minimum 3/4 " steel insulated flat slat with 24-gauge backer slate. o Exterior hood baffle. o Door color shall be bronze interior and exterior. C. Install two new door operators. o Operator shall be rated for high cycle. o Operator shall be wall mounted. o Electric safety edge shall be installed with coil cord. D. If clearance does not allow for 14'0 door height, door height may be reduced by 1". E. Provide operation and maintenance(O&M) manual for all equipment
