Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond issued by a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company, which is listed in the most recently published U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570, or by certified check in the amount called for in the Bid Materials, payable to the Housing Authority of the City of Hoboken. Treasury Circular No. 570, stating that it will issue the necessary performance bond should the bidder be awarded a contract for this work with the Owner. Each bidder must submit, with its Bid, security in the amount indicated below. Amount of Bid Bid Guarantee Up to $200,000 10% of Bid $200,000 to $400,000 $20,000Over $400,000 5% of Bid The successful bidder will be required to obtain a Performance Bond for the full amount of the contract from a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company, which is listed in the most recently published U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570, and a Maintenance Bond for a percentage of the construction cost, as defined in the Bid Materials. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any identified informalities or technicalities in the bidding, and sever or make awards of all or parts of any bids to one of more responsible bidders if it is in the best interest of the Owner to do so. The Owner also reserves the right to reject the bid of any respondent who has previously failed to perform properly, or to complete on time any contract work of a similar nature or who is not in a position to perform the contract.
