Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Columbia, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Greek Town sidewalk project includes the construction of new sidewalk, repair of existing sidewalk, and replacement of curb ramps in Greek Town along Rollins Street, Burnam Avenue, Kentucky Boulevard, Curtis Avenue, Richmond Avenue, and Tiger Avenue near the University of Missouri campus. Contractor hereby agrees to complete the work in the base bid described no later than eighty (80) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Contractor shall agree to allow a deduction of seven hundred dollars ($700.00) per calendar day, from final payment as liquidated damages for each day that completion is delayed beyond said completion date established. An Addendum to this RFP providing the City of Columbia's official response will be issued if necessary to all known prospective offerors. Questions must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on November 22, 2023. The contractor on a public improvement project costing more than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) shall provide to the City, a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, with corporate surety, satisfactory to the purchasing agent, each in an amount not less than the contract price. Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, guaranteeing faithful compliance with all requirements of the contract documents and complete fulfillment of the contract, including payment of all labor, material, and other bills made in carrying out this contract." The Surety Company issuing the bonds shall be authorized to conduct business in the State of Missouri, and carry a rating of A-6 or better as listed in the A.M. Best or equivalent rating guide. Pursuant to sections 290.210 to 290.340 RSMo, including the latest amendments thereto and unless the project is exempt from payment of prevailing wages pursuant to Section 290.230 RSMo (projects over seventy five thousand ($75,000.00) dollars). Contractor shall pay all workers on the project prevailing wage per the Missouri Division of Labor Standards Annual Wage Order No 30, attached as Attachment 2. Bidder shall submit an original bid bond, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of base bid and alternates, to the Purchasing Division, prior to the bid closing date and time. Acceptable forms of bid bonds include: 1.) an original bond on the City of Columbia's bid bond form, (Exhibit A) 2.) a certified check made payable to the City of Columbia.
