November 27, 2023. This will allow the County to answer all questions and issue any addendum, if necessary, in a timely manner. The Clarke County Purchasing Office, on behalf of the Clarke County Government, Clarke County Sanitary Authority, and Clarke County Public Schools, is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified vendors that are capable of providing roofing consulting services as specified in this Request for Proposals. Each bidder shall accompany their bid with a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount bid. Such bond shall serve as liquidated damages and be forfeited in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into the contract. The successful Contractor shall furnish both a performance and payment bond, each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract as security for the faithful performance of this contract. The County would like to enter into a contract with a qualified and capable vendor to provide roof consultant services on an as needed basis. The County Government, Sanitary Authority, and School System own buildings that have several different types of roofs including shingles, metal, gypsum form roof deck, membrane, etc. The County would like the first term of the contract to be from January 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. There is an option to renew the contract for four additional one-year terms if both parties are agreeable to the renewal.
The County reserves the right to reject the Vendor's selection of Subcontractors.
