Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Port Orchard, Washington. Working plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; residential development; and sidewalk / parking lot.
As of October 1. 2024 the previous solicitation was canceled, and the project is still in final planning, no rebid date has been set at this time. The closed solicitation is below for reference: Kitsap County Facilities Maintenance (the County) is Seeking Bids From Qualified Contractors to Demolish and Dispose of All Materials Located at 612 Sidney Ave, 802 Sidney Ave, 808 Sidney Ave, 810 Sidney Ave, 816 Sidney Ave, 803 Cline Ave, and 807 Cline Ave. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials to demolish and dispose of the existing house and all other structures/improvements located on-site. This work shall also include removal of all foundations, concrete driveways/pathways, clean-outs, fencing, utility valves and meters, mailboxes, trees and vegetation inside the properties shall be removed to grade and disposed of, and walls inside the properties shall be removed. The Contractor shall be responsible for hauling away all materials/debris associated with the demolition, restoring the property to grade with dirt, and installing, maintaining and removing erosion and water pollution control measures as required by the permit(s). All utilities have been disconnected but meters shall be removed, and water/sewer services shall be capped at the right of way line. After the site visit, additional questions regarding this solicitation and/or the scope of work must be submitted in writing via email by Wednesday November 15, 2023, no later than 3:00 p.m. and should be directed to: Glen McNeill; Purchasing Supervisor Kitsap County Department of Admin Services gmcneill@kitsap.gov A mandatory site visit will be held on Tuesday November 7, 2023 @ 10:00 AM. The Houses are located at 612 Sidney Ave, 802 Sidney Ave, 808 Sidney Ave, 810 Sidney Ave, 816 Sidney Ave, 803 Cline Ave, 807 Cline Ave, and 704 Sidney Ave. A company representative must attend for said company to bid. Photographs are allowed and encouraged during the site visit. The site visit is expected to take approximately one (1) hour. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid bond deposit of 5% of the total bid to be received in the form of a surety bond, certified check, or cashier's check. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a "performance bond" meeting necessary requirements within the time of contract signing the bid bond deposit shall be forfeited. For contracts of one hundred fifty thousand dollars or less, at the option of the contractor the County may, in lieu of the performance bond, retain fifty percent (50%) of the contract amount for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after date of final acceptance, or until receipt of all necessary releases from the Washington State Department of Revenue and Department of Labor and Industries and settlement of any liens. See RCW 39.08.010. Contract Binding Option: Surety Bond (Performance Bond) Retain 5% of Contract Amount per RCW 39.08.010 Kitsap County reserves the right to reject any or all responses for good cause, to waive any informality in any response, and to delete certain items listed in the informal bid as set herein.
