Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Asheboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.

Per Addendum 2- Bid Date Extended **PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A DAVIS BACON WAGE PROJECT.** Questions that arise from the Site Visits are to be directed to the Architect at bids@stognerarchitecture.com. Scope of work will consist of renovations and modernization of existing project and includes, but is not limited to, the following items: o Remove all existing flooring down to concrete slab and prepare for and provide new flooring as shown on plans. Provide Asbestos Abatement as part of the flooring and mastic removal. o Prime and paint all existing painted surfaces, including walls, ceilings, trim, and doors as shown on plans. o Provide new lighting and any other electrical work as shown on plans. o Kitchen Renovations - Remove existing walls as shown on plans to expand kitchen space. Remove all kitchen appliances and cabinets. Provide new cabinets and install new kitchen appliances provided by Owner. Saw cut floor slab approximately 24" wide to remove and replace existing sewer pipes for new sewer lines. Fill and compact, and repair with new 3000 PSI concrete slab. o New Storage - Remove existing walls and doors and provide new stud wall and new 3000 PSI concrete pad over existing pad as shown on plans. Provide new wall and new double door access from renovated kitchen area to new storage. o Remove existing ceiling scuttle in renovated kitchen area, and provide new ceiling scuttle in new storage area as shown on plans. o Staff Bath Renovations - Remove existing walls as shown on plans and fur out wall to match existing conditions. Remove existing mirror, sink, cabinet, and toilet. Provide new mirror, wall-mounted sink, toilet, grab bars, and metal floor drain cap. o All other work as shown on plans, in the Project Manual and as required by codes and the authority having jurisdiction. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina and per Section 9 of Form 5369 and individual sureties must be listed on US Treasury Circular Number 570 to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond and per HUD-5369 Sections 9 and 10. Five Percent shall be based on the maximum bid price, ie: Base Bid plus Unit Prices plus Contingency Allowance plus All Add Alternates. Said deposit shall be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten (10) days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law. (BID BOND NOT REQUIRED IF BID IS LESS THAN $250,000.00.) A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, OR a 20% cash Escrow OR a 25% Letter of Credit. (NOTE: IF CASH ESCROW OR LETTER OF CREDIT IS USED IT MUST REMAIN IN FORCE UNTIL END OF WARRANTY PERIOD) PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND NOT REQUIRED IF BID IS LESS THAN $250,000.00. Liquidated Damages, if the Contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified the contractor shall pay the Asheboro Housing Authority as liquidated damages the sum of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00) for each day of delay. From the date of the Notice to Proceed to Completion of the work shall be NINETY (90) days. All laborers and mechanics employed or working upon the site of the work will be paid unconditionally and not less often than once a week, and without subsequent deduction or rebate on any account (except such payroll deductions as are permitted by regulations issued by the Secretary of Labor under the Copeland Act (29 CFR Part 3)), the full amount of wages and bona fide fringe benefits (or cash equivalents thereof) due at time of payment computed at rates not less than those contained in the wage determination of the Secretary of Labor which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, regardless of any contractual relationship which may be alleged to exist between the Contractor and such laborers and mechanics. Such laborers and mechanics shall be paid not less than the appropriate wage rate and fringe benefits in the wage determination for the classification of work actually performed, without regard to skill. The wage determination (including any additional classification and wage rates conformed under 29 CFR 5.5(a)(1)(ii) and the Davis-Bacon poster (WH-1321) shall be posted at all times by the Contractor and its subcontractors at the site of the work in a prominent and accessible place where it can be easily seen by the workers. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of Sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. 6103-NC
