The Utah Lake Authority is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit proposals for the improvement of basic amenities/facilities at several public access points at Utah Lake. The Authority will select a proposal based on cost and other factors. The resulting contract would be a one-time project. Utah Lake is a valuable resource, providing fishing, recreation, and irrigation water to the residents of the Wasatch Front. Lake conditions and weather can change quickly. The lake has 27 public access points, 5 of which are public marinas. There are several access points that need enhancements to provide better public access and an improved visitor experience. The Utah Lake Authority seeks to implement some basic improvements such as: filling and regrading the dirt roads leading to access points, filling, and grading parking areas, and installing a concrete boat ramp (if you offer that). The Utah Lake Authority has selected 4 locations for these improvements. This RFP is intended to select an entity that can facilitate construction and installation at all 4 of those locations The project will include the following improvements at the listed access points: o Mill Race o Access road and parking grading/filling o Concrete boat ramp o Expand parking area o Mile Post 13 o Access road and parking grading/filling o Mulberry Beach o Access road and parking grading/filling o Swede Lane o Access road and parking grading/filling *Here are some additional notes on the improvements to guide the proposal before submission The grading and filling of access roads and parking areas should be done according to best practices with road base For the concrete boat ramp at Mill Race. The slope of the ramp should match the existing slope of the unimproved ramp (dirt/gravel). The ramp size should be 12 feet in width and 20 ft in length.
