This project includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: earth excavation, pavement removal, construction of storm sewers and sanitary sewers, aggregate subbase, HMA roadway pavement, combination concrete curb and gutter, PCC sidewalk and multi-use path, ADA ramps with detectable warnings, driveway removal and replacement, drainage and utility structure adjustments, traffic signal detector loop replacement, tree removal, erosion control, thermoplastic pavement markings, parkway restoration; and other appurtenant work for a total distance of 0.57 miles on Bernard Drive in the Village of Buffalo Grove. State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, Contractor Pre-Qualification and Subcontractor Pre-Qualification/Registration is required. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check or Certified Check in the amount of TEN (10) percent of the total bid amount made payable to the Village of Buffalo Grove shall accompany the bid. This work is subject to the wage provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. 820 ILCS 130/0/01 et seq. and the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Projects Act. 820 ILCS 265/1 et seq relative to prevailing wages of laborers, mechanics, and other workers employed in any Public Works as amended by Public Acts 86799 and 86693. The Village of Buffalo Grove reserves the right to reject any and all bids and bidders and to waive all technicalities. All bid proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days. The Village reserves the right to award the project to any bidder, based on negotiation with any and all bidders, after receipt of bids.
