The City is soliciting proposals for the purpose of contracting for the City's annual requirements for materials testing for environmental, road, utility, bridge, and building construction projects. The resulting contract is anticipated for a term of up to five years. 5.1 Scope Before Submitting a Proposal, Firms Shall Carefully Examine the Scope of Work and Shall Fully Inform Themselves as to All Existing Conditions and Limitations and Shall Indicate in the Proposal All Items Requested. 5.2 Description of Work to Be Performed o Foundation Subgrade Verification o Soil and Asphalt Compaction Testing and Inspection o Cast-in-place Concrete Testing o Bituminous Plant Inspection o Laboratory Testing of Soil, Concrete, Asphalt, and Other Construction Materials o Reinforcing Steel Inspection o Steel Fabrication Inspection o Non-destructive Anchor Bolt Testing o Anchor Bolt Tensile Testing o Environmental Characterization/evaluation o Testing Existing Structures for Hazardous Materials, Such as but Not Limited to, Lead and Asbestos in Structures o Specification Writing for Hazardous Materials Removal, if Necessary, Suitable for Bidding (the City Will Bid)
