Saskatoon Public Schools is the largest school division in Saskatchewan with more than 27,000 students and upwards of 3,300 professional and support staff in: 49 elementary schools, including one associate and one alliance school; 10 secondary schools, including one campus for adult education. Our schools are multicultural and multi-faith, and our French Immersion, Cree language and culture and English as an Additional Language programs are expanding rapidly. SPS is seeking proposals for the provision of Non-Emergency Roof Inspection and Preventative Maintenance Roof Repair Services of SPS Facilities as detailed in the RFP document. SPS intends to award to multiple contractors to audit approximately one third of our Facilities yearly and conduct necessary Preventative Maintenance Roof Repairs. SPS has budget set aside for year 1, future years quantities of work will be determined by available budget at that time. The Roof Inspections are to be completed as a Phased process where the Inspection information (Phase 1) will provide order of magnitude costs for decision making with refined pricing (Phase 2) to be received after discussion of needs/budget. The intent is to complete audits and repairs in the same year. SPS reserves the right to obtain multiple quotes, or publicly tender large repairs if it is deemed in the best interest of the Division.
