Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Conway, South Carolina. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The proposed work consists of the construction of a concrete kayak launch. In detail, the work consists of the construction of a 25' x 84' concrete kayak launch ramp with adjacent riprap scour protection. The work will involve the placement of fill material (15 cubic yards of riprap and concrete) into 0.01 acre of freshwater wetlands and the placement of 9 cubic yards of concrete and 20 cubic yards riprap below the ordinary highwater mark (OHWM) of the Black River. The concrete kayak ramp will be constructed in uplands as a push slab and then pushed into the water.
