The UPT McKinney Student Union requires renovations and various infrastructure improvements to accommodate a new Manufacturing Assistance Center (MAC). The project will provide education and training in precision manufacturing, CNC programming, and CAD/CAM technologies for a variety of non traditional students, permitting a mastery of technical skills sought by local employers. The MAC is part of the Campus Hub partnership looking to expand opportunities to better serve the Titusville area and surrounding communities. The new space will meet the requirements of the MAC as well as the Campus Hub Goals. Programmatic renovations will create the MAC Workshop, MAC Classroom, Maker Space, Digital Arts Classrooms, and gallery spaces. HVAC requirements will also need to be met along with the addition of 3-phase power to support new equipment. Contractors who wish to be considered for bidding the project must submit a Predetermination of Responsibility Form (PDR) for review and pre-qualification. The PDR form can be obtained by visiting the University of Pittsburgh, Facilities Management Electronically. Contractors will be pre-qualified to bid based on the following criteria: 1) Insurance and Bonding B+ or higher rating in Bests Key Rating Guide or Federal Treasury Regulations; 2) Experience Modifier Rate (EMR) less than 1.00; 3) Demonstrated experience with projects of similar scope, size and complexity; 4) Previous experience working on DGS funded projects where Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and Public Works Employment Verification Act apply; 5) Bonding capacity exceeding the estimated cost of construction; 6) Scheduling capabilities and experience, availability of equipment, supervision, manpower and; 7) Claims history for past 5 years; 8) Compliance with Small Diverse Business Participation goals and Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements.
