IFB/CON/ DWM/ 2310 - 1240117 This project was identified for implementation to ensure adequate capacity leading to the elimination of sanitary sewer spills. Structural upgrades to the system are necessary to replace old and deteriorated sewers to maintain the reliability of the sewers. Construction of new sanitary sewers reduces the amount of extraneous flows, infiltration, and inflow (I/I) entering the system, improves system capacity in addition to reducing the amount of untreated sewage flowing into streams and creeks as a result of sanitary sewer overflows. Similarly these projects are necessary to meet the requirements of the Second Amendment to the First Amended Consent Decree (FACD), which prescribes evaluation and improvement measures to eliminate sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs) and to protect the City's investment in upgraded WRCs. In accordance with Sealed Bidding Procurement guidelines, we hereby request approval to initiate an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to solicit qualified firm(s) for Whittier Mills Sewer Improvements for the Clean Water Atlanta Deadline to Submit Questions in Writing: Friday, November 17, 2023 by 5:00 PM (ET) via Email
