Request for Proposals-Building Maintenance and Repair Services The City of Saginaw is seeking an experienced construction manager or general contractor to perform building repair and maintenance services on various public facilities, or oversee qualified subcontractors to do such work. The Proposer selected is to furnish all labor, supervision, supplies, and other goods and services necessary to provide preventative maintenance and needed repairs throughout City facilities. Trade personnel required to perform services is expected to include a Project Manager, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, operators, and technicians. Demonstrated familiarity with building codes and construction techniques and materials is essential. The desire of the City of Saginaw is to award a general services contract in an amount not to exceed $200,000 and then authorize specific work order repairs as needed. The Proposer must demonstrate the ability to deliver very competitive rates for the noted services below, to ensure the City obtains the best value for the services requested. Examples of anticipated services include: *Painting, paperhanging, drywall, and ceiling repair *Inspection, repair, or replacement of building mechanical HVAC systems *Plumbing and electrical maintenance repair *Replacement of floor coverings *Minor roofing repairs *Renovation and remodeling of portions of existing facilities *Other miscellaneous building maintenance activities and repairs as needed Public facilities managed by the City of Saginaw include: *City Hall 333 W. Saginaw Blvd. The City of Saginaw is seeking evidence from proponents that they can satisfy the following experience requirements: *Show proof that in the last 24 months they have held a government or private sector contract of the type and size described in this request for proposal and have satisfactorily completed the contract. *Have been employed in the type of service being proposed and can provide references as to their satisfactory performance. *Can adequately demonstrate that they have the ability to provide necessary expertise and resources to satisfactory complete the contract.
