In the event of any violation of the immediately preceding subparagraph C.2, the Contractor and any subcontractor responsible therefore shall be liable for the unpaid wages. In addition, the Contractor and subcontractor shall be liable to the United States (in the case of work done under contract for the District of Columbia or a territory, to such District or to such territory) for liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, employed in violation of such subparagraph, in the sum of $10 for each calendar day on which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty (40) hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in such subparagraph. WORK SCOPE The project is located at 2811 Gamma Drive, Orlando, FL 32810. The Bidder/Respondent is encouraged to visit the project site to verify conditions, and to attend a pre-bid conference. Change orders will not be approved for foreseen items overlooked by the bidder. Change Orders for unforeseen items must be preapproved. The following consists of the renovations noted below. furnish all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and other necessary purchases to perform asbestos abatement and construct a UFAS Accessible Office Renovations at Omega Apartments. The Authority has established M/WBE participation goals to maximize opportunities for M/WBE as follows: Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) at eighteen percent (18%) and six percent (6%) for Woman Enterprises. Offerors claiming WBE/MBE must provide certification in the proposal. For all contracts that exceed $150,000, the successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for the satisfactory Performance and Payment bonding in the amount of 100% of the contract price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish certificates of insurance in accordance with the General Conditions and Special Conditions. OHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the solicitation process, or to terminate the solicitation process at any time, if deemed by OHA to be in its best interest. All questions requiring explanations and interpretations of the bid package must be submitted in writing to Liza Martinez Purchasing Manager by November 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. EST. Demolish entry sidewalk and replace with new 5'-0" wide UFAS compliant sidewalk as noted on drawings a. Re-grade area and seed in disturbed areas 2. Demolish existing kitchen, laundry and bathroom and replace bathroom with the new UFAS compliant toilet room and fixtures. 3. Demolish existing walls as noted on plan 4. Demolish all existing flooring. a. Abate asbestos containing materials. Work must be performed by licensed/certified asbestos abatement contractor. 5. Remove and cap existing water, sewer, and electrical lines as necessary 6. Saw cut concrete floor as necessary for new plumbing fixtures 7. Remove existing light fixtures and replace with new surface mounted 1x4 fluorescent fixtures 8. Remove and replace the power panel 9. Furnish and install new UFAS compliant automatic handicap door opener with exterior pedestal mounted device 10. Furnish and install new pass-through window/grill 11. Furnish and install new doors, frames, and hardware 12. Provide new UFAS compliant casework and countertop as noted 13. Patch and repair existing walls, ceilings, and floors to match existing as necessary 14. Repaint all interior walls, ceilings, doors, frames, base, and trim 15. Existing HVAC to remain, no change 16. Existing water heater to remain, no change
