The City of Marshalltown, Iowa is hereby soliciting consultant proposals for professional services to perform their SHPO submissions, Environmental Review Tier I development, Tier II development for each project, Lead Inspection / Risk Assessment and Healthy Homes inspections as part of their 2023 Lead Based Paint Hazard Reduction (LHR) Program Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The City of Marshalltown was awarded $4,326,330 from the LHR Program and $700,000 in Healthy Homes Supplemental funding. This competitive, aggressive timeline requires a well-qualified environmental firm who can seamlessly transition into our organization and provide proven, well documented and accurate results. Over a 42-month grant period the City expects to analyze 100 to 110 units for lead contamination and through attrition, we expect to rehabilitate 100 units with an average cost of $25,000 per unit. Healthy Homes funding will be utilized at an average cost of $5,000 per unit. Any questions concerning the proposals should be directed to Jackie Pippin, 24 N.
