The City of Eden Prairie Pond Improvements (Pond 25-34-A and 14-23-A) project will involve the dredging of two stormwater ponds to remove and properly dispose of accumulated contaminated sediment, and the necessary work needed to compliantly access, provide traffic control, dredge, provide erosion control, and restore the ponds and adjacent areas including impacts to private landowners. The project engineer estimates approximately 1795 cubic yards of material to be dredged and disposed of. Any questions must be received in writing (email acceptable) by 11:59pm on Friday, November 10th, 2023. Please send all questions to Patrick Sejkora, PE at psejkora@edenprairie.org. A response to questions will be issued as an addendum on November 16th, 2023. Pond 25-34-A is located northeast of the intersection of Meade Lane and Antlers Ridge and south of Lee Drive. Pond 14-23-A is located north of the intersection of Prairie Center Drive and Singletree Lane. Each bid submitted must be accompanied by a bid bond naming the City of Eden Prairie as obligee, Surety2000 or certified check payable to the City Clerk of the City of Eden Prairie or a cash deposit in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid, which shall be forfeited to the City in the event that the bidder fails to enter into a contract. The City Council reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bids will be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date and time set for the opening bids. Payment for the work will be by cash or check. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and further reserves the right to award the contract(s) to the best interests of the City.
