Renovation of a mixed-use development in Jonesboro, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of January 25, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) is inviting prequalified firms only for the Rosenwald School Renovation located at 155 Smith Street, Jonesboro, GA 30236. The renovation of the Rosenwald School to a model classroom, museum and meeting hall. Office spaces, new lighting, upgrades to the low voltage systems, new finishes and restroom fixtures throughout the facility. The building improvements will include a new roof, HVAC, door and hardware. Exterior improvements will include signage and landscaping. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities and informalities The Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis by base bid. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after Bid opening, except as otherwise expressly provided by applicable law. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. All anticipated federal, state and local permits required for the Project have not been obtained. Required permits are anticipated on or before December 4, 2023. All rights of way and easements anticipated for the Project have not been obtained. Required rights of way or easements are anticipated on or before December 4, 2023.
