Renovation of a municipal facility in Athens, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Project outline: Spot Tuckpointing on Courthouse, Washington Street Area. Area will need to be accessed with Scaffolding. Spot remove all mortar joints throughout sandstone (includes all eyebrows, columns and entrances) in preparation for tuckpointing operations, mortar removal shall be 5/8" minimum, or enough to expose sound un weathered mortar. Spot tuckpoint all removed mortar joints with new mortar formulated to match color, texture, and relative hardness of adjacent mortar. Tuckpointing shall match adjacent mortar joint tooling and shall produce a watertight mortar joint with firm cohesion to the substrate Replace any delaminated brick faces with new brick approved by Owner. Replace Sandstone. Patch Sandstones. Clean up all areas and leave in a professional manner. Each bid must be accompanied by either at bid bond, in an amount of 100% of the bid amount with surety satisfactory to the aforesaid ATHENS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS or by certified check, cashier's check or irrevocable letter of credit from a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of the aforesaid ATHENS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS. No bidder may withdraw their bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the bid opening thereof. The Athens County Commissioners reserve the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.
