The NEWTON HOUSING AUTHORITY, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for renova- tions and upgrades to an ADA Bathroom at State Aided Development: Unit 302, New Hyde Apartments (689-3) in Newton Highlands, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by RICHARD ALVORD ARCHITECTS. The Project consists of but is not limited to renovations and upgrades to accessible bathroom in compliance with current building code. Question Deadline 12/20/2023 at 2:00 PM ET All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possi- ble bid amount (including all alternates) and made payable to the NEWTON HOUSING AUTHORITY. Note: A bid de- posit is not required for Projects advertised under $50,000. The Project consists of: Renovations and upgrades to the ADA accessible bathroom located at 82 Lincolns Street, Newton Highlands, Unit 302. The bathroom is required to be reconstructed to comply with current code compliance. The plumbing in the New Hyde building has existing conditions that require the contractor to have experience in using the Schluter-KERDI Shower System or like system to ensure that the drain does not fail over time. Contractors are strongly encouraged to visit the site to understand existing conditions prior to submitting a bid.
