The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) by the City of Harrisonburg, Virginia (City) is to solicit sealed bids from interested vendors (Bidder) to provide annual on-call drilling and blasting services. The Citys Department of Public Utilities (City) expects to need drilling and blasting for rock excavations for installation of water and sewer pipes. The work will include test drilling, drilling and blasting, and all other associated work involved; the City makes no guarantee of the amount of work that will be authorized under this contract. Work will be performed at various locations throughout the City and the surrounding Rockingham County. The City will provide the successful contractor with separate task orders as required, using EJCDC C-522 Contract for Construction of a Small Project, for work to be completed within the time period negotiated and work agreed upon by both parties. The City reserves the right to bid out any work separately from this contract. Oral questions will not be permitted. All responses to inquiries will be in writing and will be posted as addenda All questions must be received no later than the date and time listed on the Cover Page of this RFP. It is the responsibility of all Offerors to ensure that they have received all addenda and to include signed copies of any and all addenda with their proposal submission.
