The successful Respondent (Contractor) will be required to provide all labor, material, tools, equipment, supplies, etc. for the purpose of providing vegetation control at Willow Run Airport. a) Contractor Responsibilities: i) The Contractor shall also be responsible for the following: (1) Contractor shall provide the Airport Authority with a monthly schedule of vegetation control activities for the upcoming month, including number and type of personnel that will be used to perform the work. (2) Contractor shall meet with designated Airport Authority to discuss and strategize vegetation conditions at Willow Run Airport at the Airport Authority's request. (3) Arrive on site within 72 hours upon request by the Airport Authority (4) The Contractor shall comply with all regulatory requirements as forth herein to have all staff assigned to the Airport Authority have the appropriate certification for those that will be applying the herbicides and pesticides. (5) All work on Airport Authority grounds shall be conducted during the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. (6) Contractor must use an herbicide that will ensure the chemically treated areas will remain vegetation free for the entire growing season with one application. If unusual weather conditions occur, reapplication may be necessary. (7) All fence lines must be sprayed 24" wide (12" on each side of the fence). There is approximately twelve (12) miles of fence line at Willow Run Airport. (8) on the Airfield may cover up to approximately five (5) acres and require a vehicle with a minimum of an 8' spray bar and minimum 500-gallon tank capacity for spraying chemical on large pavement areas. (9) All vehicles utilized by the Contractor on Airport Authority property must be properly labeled with the Contractor's logo. The logo must be placed on the outside of the vehicle. Any Contractor's vehicles that are not properly labeled may be towed off of Airport premises at the Contractor's expense. (10) Contractor vehicle must have a rotating beacon (strobe) light. (11) All Contractor employees working on Airport Authority grounds must be properly dressed and wear reflective ANSI Type II or Ill safety vests/shirts. Employees must wear a company uniformed shirt. Shorts are not permitted. (12) The Willow Run Airport fuel farm building 2614 perimeter fence and gravel area must also be included to spray vegetation. (13) Airfield - Contractor to treat areas on Airfield, which will consist of spraying vegetation on runways, taxiways, ramps and around the edges of lights and signage which are 10' off the edges of runways and taxiways. (14) Contractor will be escorted by Airport Authority personnel when working on Airfield. (15) to be on a seasonal basis - approximately April through October. DESCRIPTION: Quotes are being solicited for vegetation control services at Willow Run Airport for a term of three (3) years with two (2) optional one (1) year renewals exercisable at the sole discretion of the Airport Authority.
