The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) operates the ninth largest transit system in North America, providing bus, rail and paratransit services in the greater metropolitan Atlanta area. MARTA transports over 500,000 people in the City of Atlanta and counties of Clayton, DeKalb and Fulton daily. MARTA has approximately 4,540 employees. Equipment, Supplies and/or Services Being Procured: MARTA is seeking bids from firms to provide small AC motor overhaul and repair services required to maintain adequate stock levels and to ensure that the daily service demands of the rail fleet are met. MARTAs Department of Rail Car Maintenance will administer the contract (if awarded) pursuant to the terms and conditions contained in that certain form of contract for Small AC Motor Overhaul and Repair Services attached hereto in Part 4 (Contract).
