Renovation of a fire / police facility in Kahului, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The intent of the specification is to describe the surface preparation and painting of the selected surfaces at the subject property. Those surfaces not specifically accounted for in this specification but reasonably concluded as being within the intent and scope of this work shall be considered as having been specified for appropriate treatment, subject to approval by the Fire Services Chief Rylan Yatsushiro. The specification written is to provide recommendations to furnish a protective paint coating system to achieve certain aesthetic, protective, and/or corrosion-resistant features. The painting project includes the metal stairway, its components, and related metal structures at the Kahului Fire Station Hose Tower. Kahului Fire Station Hose Tower Stairway Refinishing. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: cash, a cashier's check, or a certified check on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bidder's bond executed by an approved surety insurer, made payable to the Director of Finance in the manner, form, and amount required by Section 103D-323 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid submitted.
