Project Description: The proposed project will install Traffic Census Stations within the existing SR-1 roadbed and shoulder. The work will include the installation of pull boxes, controller cabinets, loops, and conduits. The installation will require excavation within the roadway and shoulder up to 2 feet maximum depth. All work will occur within Caltrans right of way. No vegetation will be removed, no work is proposed or authorized within wetlands, and no new paving of unpaved areas is proposed or authorized anywhere. Public access for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists will be maintained throughout the construction area. Construction best management practices will be implemented to protect water quality. The Department of Transportation (Department) will receive quotes for Construction On State Highway In Los Angeles County in the cities of Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Los Angeles. Department establishes no DVBE Contract goal but encourages bidders to obtain DVBE participation. Bids must be on a unit price basis. Complete the work within 90 working days.
